Better User Interface

The services section is somewhat confusing in the sense that after I create/set up a new service and then click on the "manage" link again, I don't see any kind of green check mark or anything that indicates that it is set up, active, etc. It just shows my email address or Twitter username follows by the blank password field (which isn't even labeled as a password field). It seems very incomplete and ambiguous. A slicker, more intuitive interface and status system would be great.

        Hi Tim,

        After the trial period all you need to do is login and you will see an upgrade button on the top right of the screen and you can then upgrade and continue with your backups. We have recently added many admin functions. Are you backing up your Google Apps data or personal accounts? That will help clarify what type of dashboard you are seeing as we have different ones for different play types.

        If you want additional storage space, you can email ryan@backupify.com and he can help add this to your account. We don't sell individual storage space, it comes per plan level but we can custom add this for you.

        Can you answer the question ?? How do I subscribe after my trial period?? There are no admin functions, and not even the support questions are asked. I wanted to know how i get an increase in disk space and how much - not so much as an answer!! Come on good service deserves good support!!

        There should be a dashboard with the list of services I've configured, their backup status, the disk space I use, subscription status etc. How do I subscribe to the service after my trial period, how do I increase disk space etc. the UI does need to be alot slicker so normal people know where to get the information from.

        Yes we are in the process of enhancing the UI for you all so you can make the most of your account and service. We need to change over how the APIs want the data to how you want it and make it easy for you to find and manage your data. Stay tuned!

        I agree about how confusing the manage function is. It's not clear whether the authorisation for twitter and facebook have actually occurred. And how exactly do I send that twitter message you want me to? There is no send button when I do the auth.

        I think "Manage (0)" should become "Add an account", and "Manage (1)" should become "1 account". The list of services should be alphabetical. There should be a dashboard with the list of services I've configured, their backup status, the disk space I use, subscription status etc.
